Breastfeeding drop-in will be available every Tuesday in December. Contact your local health visiting team before you travel to double check the session is going ahead if weather is bad.

Please bring your baby’s red book with you every time you visit a child health clinic, breastfeeding drop-in, GP or other healthcare appointment.

About

These breastfeeding drop-in sessions are supportive, social, and welcome all pregnant and breastfeeding women and their families, including partners. Trained Breastfeeding Champions from the local Health Visiting Teams are working alongside the specialist infant feeding team and will be able to provide information and help if you have a breastfeeding concern.   • Infant Feeding Team usually available within session
  • Tongue Tie assessment and referral possible within this session if Lactation consultant is present.
  • Not on bank holidays
  • Able to weigh baby.

Please note there is no parking on site, nearest parking is available on Cooper Road to then walk in to the Hub.

From 1 January, NCT will start running this breastfeeding drop-in instead of the health visiting service. This session will be on Wednesdays, 1pm to 3pm from then.  More details below. 

NCT Kent Infant Feeding Peer Support offers friendly, non-judgmental, free, infant feeding support, for parents during pregnancy through to the early stages of parenthood, run by parents who understand the challenges it can bring. Our trained peer supporters, with their own experiences, are committed to making sure parents feel supported and connected, during pregnancy and throughout those initial early weeks of parenthood. It’s also a great way to meet other parents going through similar experiences. We’re here to welcome you into our community.
